Dexamethasone

Dexamethasone is a corticosteroid medication used to treat a variety of inflammatory and immune-mediated conditions in dogs and cats, such as allergies, asthma, and autoimmune diseases. It works by suppressing the immune system and reducing inflammation. Dexamethasone can be given orally, by injection, or topically. It can cause side effects such as increased thirst, urination, and appetite, as well as muscle weakness and decreased immunity with long-term use.
